I, _________________________________ (hereinafter the Author), grant to the Association of Christian Librarians, Inc. the following exclusive license:

1. To worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free publication of the work entitled ____________________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________________ (hereinafter the Work) to which the Author owns copyright. I hereby represent and warrant that the Work is original and was created by me and does not violate or infringe the right of any third party. I hereby indemnify and agree to defend and hold the Association of Christian Librarians, Inc. harmless from any damages, costs, expenses, including attorney's fees, arising out of any claim, action, or proceeding based upon any claimed violation of these representations and warranties.
   
   
2. To edit the Work for publication in The Christian Librarian (hereinafter the Journal).
   
   
3. To reproduce, adapt, and distribute the Work in the Journal and in any derivative works, including, but not limited to, collections, microform, and any electronic formats now existing or hereafter developed, including those where the Work will be individually searchable and retrievable.
   
   
4. This license shall grant permission to the Association of Christian Librarians, Inc. to assign this agreement to any other entity or any successor entity connected with this Association.

The Author retains all rights in the Work not specifically granted to the Journal and the Association of Christian Librarians, Inc.
