ACL seeks to encourage members in their faith. This support is displayed in a variety of ways across the Association.
“I constantly remember you in my prayers night and day.” 2 Timothy 1:3b
Praying for one another is a privilege and joy. Whether you need intercessory prayer or would like to share an answer to prayer, we invite you to share your concerns by submitting your prayer requests through the confidential Prayer Request form below. ACL prayer volunteers will weekly bring your requests before God. All prayer requests are kept confidential.
A devotional, Reference Point, is written by ACL members and distributed monthly as a way to spiritually uplift fellow members. Andrea Abernathy, Grace Andrews, and Deborah McConkey serve the membership by coordinating this effort. Members can submit a devotion for consideration by clicking the button below. Visit our archives of devotions in the right navigational menu.
Additional opportunities for encouragement and ways to be involved in ACL's community of believers:
- During the National Library Week, the ACL President sends out a daily call to prayer highlighting different specific prayer needs.
- On the ACL Discussion List prayer and support for personal and work-related requests are often shared that demonstrate a caring community.
- The Christian Librarian seeks to include articles from a Biblical worldview that are helpful to those in the library field.
- The ACL Annual Conference strives to encourage spiritual community with daily prayer walks and devotions, and occasionally, a concert of prayer or hymn sing.
