Technical Services Librarian - Ashland University - OH

The Technical Services Librarian is responsible for maintaining the Integrated Library System (ILS - currently Innovative Interfaces "Sierra" platform). This position is also responsible for cataloging resources being added to the ILS. The Technical Services Librarian serves as library liaison to several academic departments, working to develop the collection to support the curriculum of assigned departments and to facilitate faculty awareness of library resources and services. Ashland University librarians are non-tenure track faculty members who participate in faculty governance. 


A Master's degree in library or information science from an accredited institution is required, with emphasis on computer literacy and experience with an integrated library system (ILS), preferably III Sierra. Experience in and knowledge of cataloging practices and experience cataloging with OCLC.
