Library Director (Part-time, 5 hrs/mo.) - New Hope College - Eugene, OR

JOB SUMMARY

The Library Director (LD) helps fulfill the mission statement of the College by connecting students, staff, and faculty with informational resources that can be used to help them develop their theology, ministry skills, and character. This role is primarily accomplished through serving as a reference, managing circulation systems, making resources as accessible and findable as possible.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Library Director is responsible for upholding and implementing the Library's procedures and policies and the communication of those to the New Hope Academic Team. Additionally, the Library Director oversees the circulation systems and databases (Populi, EbscoHost, Gale and ILL) and ensures patrons can access materials. Additional duties may include, but are not limited to: completing the Library IPEDS report, research tutorials, recommending library purchases, and providing subject-based bibliographies.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • A graduate degree in Library Science
  • At least one year's experience in an academic library
