JOB SUMMARY

Manages the day-to-day operation of the Northwest University Archives. Responsible for preservation, organization, access, and description of materials held by the library, especially the NU Archives. Contributes to collection development, instruction, and outreach for the library and archives. Functions as part of the library management team under the leadership of the Library Director. Full-time, 1 FTE.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages the day-to-day operation of the Northwest University Archives.
  • Responsible for preservation, organization, access, and description of materials held by the library, especially the NU Archives.
  • Contributes to collection development, instruction, and outreach for the library and archives.
  • Functions as part of the library management team under the leadership of the Library Director.
  • Full-time, 1 FTE.


EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Earned master’s degree in library science, archival science, or another related field.
  • Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) with a concentration or certification in archival studies, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience preferred.
  • Two to three years of professional experience in special collections, library technical services, or archives, preferably in an academic setting.
