Describe yourself using a book title: The Giver by Lois Lowry

What's the best thing about being a librarian? The best thing about my job as a Librarian in a Graduate School is the privilege of being able to help the Library users gain access to the research materials/resources they need for their academic requirements. I feel gratified by the thought that I am able to contribute somehow to the pursuit of their desired goals in the academe and partner with them in the journey.

Describe ACL in three words: Awesome, Supportive, Futuristic

How do you, as an academic librarian, contribute to your campus? As our seminary's Library Director, I have helped and continue to help meet the needs of students and faculty when it comes to academic and research requirements. However, this seminary is a multi-cultural community and there are many students who have difficulty adjusting. I have thus made it my personal mission to make the library a "second home" by making it a friendly and "welcoming" haven without sacrificing the basic rules to which a library must adhere.

I began my career as a librarian..‚Äč.when I was asked to assist the retired librarian from Asbury Seminary who came to the Philippines to organize our Bible School library.

How were you introduced to ACL? Through the ACL website and other fellow librarians.

What do you value about ACL? I value the collaboration, information sharing, and support of librarians!
