Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the weather like in Minnesota in June?
A: Check out wunderground.com for St. Paul weather conditions, history and the 5-day forecast.

Q: Will I be able to get in my daily walk/run/workout while at conference?
A: Yes. As a conference guest you will have access to our athletic facilities - the Ericksen Center - with running track, weight room, racquetball courts, stationary bikes, stair steppers and elliptical, etc. Also there is an on-campus nature path that follows the lakeshore and a number of parks within walking distance. But unfortunately, access to the campus swimming pool has now become unavailable during the week of the conference.

A: Yes - the following stores are all within 1 mile: Byerly's (grocery store), Walgreens (not open 24 hours), Office Depot, Caribou Coffee, Brueggers Bagels, Jimmy John's, Boston Market, Don Pablos, Marathon (gas station).

Q: Will there be hangers provided?
A: Please bring your own hangers, however we will have a few extra for those who cannot bring them.

A: We will provide towels, sheets, blankets and pillows for each guest.

Q: Are the residence halls and workshop air conditioned?
A: All of our residence halls are fully air conditioned with an individual temperature control in each room. All the classrooms where sessions will be held are also air conditioned. A few areas where there is not air conditioning are Nazareth Chapel (devotions) and Nazareth Café (dining area).

Q: How walkable is the campus?
A: The campus is very walkable, but it is always good to wear comfortable shoes. There are small parking areas near most buildings also.
Here are some walking times from the dorms:
  - 5 minutes to Riley Hall (workshops, meetings)
  - 8 minutes to Berntsen Library
  - 10 minutes to Nazareth Hall (meals, devotions)

Q: Do I need to bring a fan/extension cord?
A: No, each dorm room has its own heating/cooling unit and plenty of electrical outlets in the room and near the vanity.

Q: Do I need to bring an alarm clock/flashlight?
A: Those would be 2 items that could be handy to bring.
